The Repair Tech was founded by husband-and-wife team Andreina and Emmanuel Carrillo with a vision of creating a company rooted in integrity, professionalism, and community. Together, they combined their experience, passion, and shared values to build a business focused on honest service and meaningful relationships.
Our Story
A Love Story Built on Shared Values & Hard Work
Andreina and Emmanuel’s journey began in high school, where their shared work ethic, family values, and passion for helping others brought them together. Working side by side in Andreina’s family HVAC and appliance business, they discovered a shared passion for the trades and a vision of building something meaningful together.
Shortly after starting their family, they launched The Repair Tech with the goal of creating a company rooted in honesty, professionalism, and community. Combining Andreina’s business and marketing expertise with Emmanuel’s technical experience, they built a company focused on delivering dependable service while creating genuine relationships with customers throughout San Diego County.
Today, The Repair Tech stands as a reflection of their partnership, dedication, and commitment to making a positive impact both inside and outside of the industry.

Andreina Leal-Carrillo
Andreina grew up around the trades, learning the value of hard work, integrity, and customer care through her family’s involvement in the appliance and HVAC industry. After years of helping build and operate service businesses alongside her husband, Emmanuel, she combined her experience in operations, marketing, and business development to help build The Repair Tech into a trusted, family-owned company.
Today, Andreina leads the company’s growth, strategy, operations, and community partnerships, with a strong focus on innovation, transparency, and creating opportunities for her team. As a business owner and mother, she is passionate about developing future leaders, supporting women in the trades, and building meaningful relationships throughout the community.

Outside of Work
Andreina loves spending time with her family, traveling, exploring new restaurants, and trying new foods. A self-proclaimed foodie, she also enjoys community events, volunteering, mentoring, and connecting with fellow entrepreneurs.

Emmanuel Carrillo
With nearly 20 years of experience in the trades, Emmanuel brings a hands-on approach and a passion for problem-solving to The Repair Tech. His background spans HVAC, appliances, general construction, framing, plumbing, and roofing, giving him a broad understanding of how things work and how to find the right solutions. As a licensed C-20 contractor, he combines technical expertise with a practical, down-to-earth approach to helping customers.**
Today, Emmanuel helps lead The Repair Tech alongside his family, driven by a commitment to quality work, honest service, and building a company that makes a meaningful difference for both customers and employees. As a husband and father, he takes pride in creating something that supports his family and the families who depend on the company.**

Parts and Warehouse Coordinator
Joe’s path into the trades began through his curiosity about HVAC and appliance systems while working in restaurant kitchens. What started as conversations with technicians eventually became a passion for hands-on problem solving and helping people through skilled trade work.
At The Repair Tech, Joe is known for his positive attitude, accountability, and dedication to learning. His diverse background and customer-focused approach help him connect with homeowners while delivering dependable service and clear communication.

Operations & Business Development Manager
Isabel joined The Repair Tech with a passion for relationship-building, community outreach, and supporting local businesses. Her professionalism, organization, and genuine care for people make her an important part of the company’s growth and community presence.

Appliance Technician
Armando has been working in the appliance industry since he was seventeen years old and has developed a strong reputation for detailed diagnostics, technical knowledge, and customer communication. He is currently expanding his expertise into HVAC while continuing to grow his skills and certifications.

After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as an electrician, Jacob transitioned into the HVAC and appliance industry where he found a passion for hands-on work, diagnostics, and helping homeowners feel comfortable and confident in their homes.
His strong technical background, professionalism, and customer-first mindset make him a trusted part of The Repair Tech team.

Inspired by his father’s work in the trades, Alexis joined The Repair Tech after beginning his education at UEI Oceanside. He is passionate about problem solving, workplace safety, and continuing to grow his technical skills within the HVAC and appliance industry.

HVAC Technician
With 9 years of experience in the HVAC industry, Travis brings technical knowledge, professionalism, and a commitment to customer satisfaction to The Repair Tech. Holding EPA Universal and OSHA 30 certifications, he takes pride in dependable service, attention to detail, and continuing to expand his skills.

Travis enjoys off-roading, hiking, water activities, and exploring the outdoors, especially at river properties in Arizona. He also has a natural way with animals!

HVAC Apprentice
Mia joined The Repair Tech with a two-year degree in HVAC service and several industry certifications. New to the field, she enjoys working with her hands, learning practical skills, and making a meaningful contribution while continuing to grow her knowledge of the HVAC industry.

Alyson Hurt
Dispatcher & Scheduler
Ally joined The Repair Tech after gaining experience as a resident assistant in college. She brings strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine curiosity to her role, always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and support both her teammates and customers.

Ally enjoys creative writing and is currently working on her debut urban fantasy novel. She’s also a big fan of Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, with a particularly judgmental Oddish plush keeping her company at her desk!

Brian Platte
Office Dispatch Representative
Brian joined The Repair Tech from a background in sports sales, bringing a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and a drive to get things done. With skills in data tools like Excel and Power BI, along with experience in SQL and Python, he enjoys learning about business operations and building experience for his future career.

Outside of Work
Brian enjoys working out, investing, and reading. He also coaches youth volleyball at SoCal, working with athletes ages 5–18 and helping teams compete at the national level.

Julian Xayasiah
Appliance Technician
Julian brings a growing knowledge of appliance repair to The Repair Tech, with one year of industry experience. After receiving Whirlpool training and becoming a certified Whirlpool technician, he expanded his expertise to work with a wider range of appliance brands. He also holds EPA 608 Universal and NATE certifications, allowing him to continue developing his skills in the HVAC trade.

Outside of Work
Julian enjoys fishing, playing basketball, going to the gym, and occasionally playing video games. He also loves meeting customers’ cats and dogs during service visits!

Cynthia has been part of The Repair Tech for 1.5 years, bringing creativity, storytelling, and a passion for connecting with people through social media and marketing. From highlighting the team’s expertise to sharing community involvement and creating helpful content for homeowners, she loves bringing the personality and heart behind The Repair Tech to life.
